Mrs. Karen Upton received her Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from the University of Central Oklahoma, graduating cum laude.  She is a recipient of the Sooner Heritage and Robert E. and Mary B. Sturgis Scholarships.  Karen currently conducts research at the University of Oklahoma, studying the ontonogy and neurobiology of attachment and fear learning. Besides working as a teaching and research assistant in the Department of Zoology, Karen has also participated in Pre-Collegiate Programs, a University sponsored program for gifted and talented middle school students.
